UNICEF in Action

Working in over 150 countries, UNICEF is a global humanitarian relief organization providing children with lifesaving interventions and life-enriching opportunities.

  • Health care – UNICEF is a global leader in child immunization, providing vaccines for 58% of the world's children.

  • Clean water – UNICEF and its partners have helped more than 2 billion people gain access to clean drinking water since 1990.

  • Nutrition – UNICEF prevents and treats malnutrition, a leading cause of one in three child deaths around the globe.

  • Education – UNICEF develops innovative ways to make education accessible for all children.

  • Emergency relief – UNICEF was created in the aftermath of WWII to help children in war-ravaged Europe and is still the leader when it comes to disaster relief efforts for children

The U.S. Fund for UNICEF supports UNICEF's humanitarian relief work through fundraising, advocacy and education in the United States.

Our volunteers, numbering more than 35,000, support the U.S. Fund for UNICEF by holding fundraisers, raising grassroots awareness about the issues we care about, and spreading UNICEF's messages with their communities and legislators.

Together, we are working towards the day when ZERO children die of a preventable cause.
