There are many ways to support UNICEF's lifesaving work as a U.S. Fund for UNICEF volunteer. But the pillars of our Volunteer Program are three-fold:
Volunteers educate themselves and their communities about UNICEF's child survival work. They do this by hosting international dinners, lectures, movies or discussions. The U.S. Fund offers education resources through TeachUNICEF as well as through online trainings.
Educational advocacy includes activities that raise awareness about child survival issues. Political advocacy involves communicating with public officials or the general public to affect legislation and public policy. UNICEF's political advocacy efforts are highly structured and overseen by the U.S. Fund for UNICEF's Office of Public Policy and Advocacy.
This is a critical component of the volunteer experience and essential to UNICEF's global success. There are a variety of ways volunteers can raise funds. Join the UNICEF Action Center to register a fundraiser or join the Trick-or Treat for UNICEF or UNICEF Tap Project campaigns.
